The
appeal by Senate President Bukola Saraki, challenging the jurisdiction
of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to try him over alleged false
declaration of assets, was on Monday, adjourned indefinitely by the
Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.
The Senate president and his supporters left the Court of Appeal
premises disappointed as the court failed to deliver its judgment
earlier scheduled for today.
On arrival at the court Monday afternoon, parties were told by an official of the court that the judgment was not ready.
The female court official declined to provide further details on what
informed the development, but said a new date will be communicated to
the interested parties.
