Groups Plans Rousing Reception As Buhari Visits Cross River

Crossriver
President Muhammadu Buhari visits Cross River State today, several weeks after the initial planned visit was postponed.

To give the president a grand welcome, the Akwa Ibom State chapter of Buhari Support Group (BSG), in conjunction with Ibom Mega Synergy Assembly (IMSA) have urged all supporters of change in the state and the entire South-South geopolitical zone to besiege Calabar to give the president a rousing reception.
President Buhari is expected in Cross River State to perform the ground-breaking of the Super Highway project initiated by Governor Ben Ayade.
A statement jointly signed by the South-South Coordinator of IMSA, Mr. Ubong Sam and his BSG counterpart in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Dominic Akpan, said the President’s visit to Calabar was just like a visit to the entire South-South zone.
“We are indeed elated by this visit which will avail the President another opportunity to look into the challenges of physical infrastructure including the poor condition of federal roads in the zone as well as the problem of unemployment facing over 80 percent of the youths population. We are also happy that the President’s visit will help to reinvigorate the confidence of the people of the South-South in this administration in terms of what he had programmed originally on his agenda for this zone,” the statement read.
