Buhari Must Come for Screening to Be The Petroleum Minister — SENATE

As the senate unveiled the ministerial list sent by President Muhammadu Buhari during plenary, many PDP senators are talking tough, saying the President must submit himself before them for screening if he is going to be the Minister of Petroleum.

They are also bragging that they will reject the list of 21 ministerial nominees sent by the President, saying the constitution provides for a nominee from each state of the federation and that any list that did not cover the 36 states would suffer serious opposition on the floor of the Senate.

The PDP Senators have also vowed that
they would not be cowed by the trial of Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal just as they promised to adopt stringent measures in line with the provisions of the Constitution during the screening of ministerial nominees.

Sources say their major target is the DG of Buhari's Campaign, ex-Governor Rotimi Amaechi, for daring to join the APC, leading to the defeat of the PDP during the 2015 presidential election.

Funny enough, the Senate President  Bukola Saraki, is standing trial for corruption. How can you fight a man who is not standing trial anywhere for corruption when the head of the Senate is standing trial? Lol!
