Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma says “sorry” about commenting that his team-mate Diego Costa “likes to cheat a lot.”

The French centre-back was quoted as telling beIN Sports reporters after Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday that: “Everyone knows Diego and this guy likes to cheat a lot and put the opponents out of his game, and that happened in the game.”
Striker Costa clashed with Gunners centre-back Gabriel, who was sent off, during the game at Stamford Bridge. He has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association and has until 18:00 BST to respond.

“Sorry for any confusion,” Zouma said. ”English is not my first language. I did not mean to accuse anyone of cheating.”
Zouma scored his first Premier League goal for the Blues when he nodded in a Cesc Fabregas free-kick at the far post.
Costa swiped his hand at the face of Arsenal defender Laurient Koscielny before clashing with Gabriel.
Gabriel has also been handed a charge of improper conduct.
