This sad development is coming just one week to her wedding. Olawunmi's journey to prison started after she was arraigned before a Magistrates’ Court sitting in Isolo for the alleged offence.
The babe who had already concluded plans for her wedding was said to have slapped her neighbour, one Mr. Anthony Onyeka for a yet to be disclosed reason...
The incident happened at 51, Ijikoyejo Street in Ijeshatedo, Lagos, where they both reside.
After the alleged assault, Onyeka reported at the Ijeshatedo police division and Olawunmi was arrested and taken to the station.
Every attempt by the police to settle the rift failed as she refused to apologise to Onyeka as advised.
Consequently, the police charged Olawunmi to court for assault. When she was arraigned, she pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs Joy Ugbomoiko granted her bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety. She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will be able to meet her bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till 16 October , 2015.
Her eyes cleared when she was been taken to prison as ordered by the Magistrate, Olawunmi remembered her coming wedding and she broke down in tears.
